Spread and pierce have potentially higher damage if you can get all shots in good hitzones. But rapid is the most consistent especially on multiplayer where hitzones and positioning keep shifting. The meta is getting (almost) 1 of each element for each shot type and using what works best vs the monster's weaknesses.Imo for solo play, LBG is the "easiest" of the 3. The guardian LBG is pretty good and easy to make good for rapid fire normal 2, rapid fire pierce 1, rapid fire spread 2. Anyty else will take you much longer to farm materials for. I don't usually run elemental LBG, it's so much effort I don't think it's worth the farming.
