I made the switch from BR5e to Midi myself and faced the same issues. The ADV/Dis-ADV thing is pretty easy to fix, you just need to adjust the shortcut keys for midi. Go to the settings tab then Configure Controls. Look for midi and change the shortcuts.

When you cast Scorching Ray or Magic Missile Foundry creates a pop up asking if you want to spend a spell slot and at what level. This is what actually “casts” the spell and consumes the slot. Then an item card for the spell you cast pops up in chat, with an “attack” and a “damage” button.
